Master's Student in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Northeastern University, Boston, USA
Hi! I'm Keming Xing, a master's student who is about to graduate from Northeastern University, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering (MSECE) with a focus on Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Algorithms. I have strong stress tolerance and learning ability, and I have independently completed multiple end-to-end full-stack projects, possessing a strong exploratory and problem-solving mindset. While my professional work experience is still limited, I am eager to learn quickly and acquire the skills required for any role in the shortest possible time. This website serves as my personal academic portfolio showcasing my projects and learning journey.
Full-stack enterprise application with Vue 3 + TypeScript frontend and Node.js + Fastify backend. Features include JWT authentication, RBAC, RESTful API design, Prisma ORM, and production deployment. Demonstrates proficiency in system architecture, API development, database design, and software engineering best practices.
A collaborative capstone project combining MediaPipe real-time pose recognition with agricultural data modeling. Developed a high-accuracy pen grip detection system integrated with a recommendation engine for agricultural applications, demonstrating expertise in computer vision, machine learning, and cross-team collaboration.
Built a privacy-preserving email classification system using word frequency vectors and PCA dimensionality reduction techniques. Compared Random Forest and SVM models achieving over 90% accuracy while avoiding direct processing of sensitive email content, demonstrating expertise in privacy-aware machine learning and data science workflows.
I am currently seeking job opportunities and am available to start as early as a spring internship or from the summer. While I require work visa sponsorship, I am eligible to work for up to three years under CPT and OPT. I am currently based in the Boston area and am willing to relocate to any location, as well as open to remote work.
Location preference: Boston, California, Washington, New York, Massachusetts, and Silicon Valley area
Completed: July 2025
Completed three-course specialization covering supervised learning (linear regression, logistic regression, neural networks, decision trees), unsupervised learning (clustering, anomaly detection), recommender systems, and reinforcement learning. Gained practical skills in building machine learning models and applying ML techniques to real-world problems.
